Aldi has changed its self-service checkout policy after reports of increased 'difficult interactions' with shoppers. The policy, which allowed staff to remain outside for shoppers using self-checkout machines, was withdrawn nationwide following instances of misuse and threats. The move comes after multiple media outlets highlighted the issue, including SMH.com.au, Nine.com.au, and Yahoo News Australia.
